Displays 2 Go were appointed as the official signage partner for the second edition of Aqua Rugby Australia (ARA), an action-packed, 3-day floating rugby tournament set up on a synthetic grass-pitched pontoon in the stunning waters of Manly Cove, Sydney.

The Brief

Jimmy Galvin, the Co-Founder and CEO of ARA, had a clear brief to the team at D2G. He wanted “all event signage to connect the various areas within the festival, whether it be on land, sea or air!” He also wanted the signage to reflect the growing brand of ARA but also be “ striking and make our brand stand out in Manly for both festival visitors and for our TV audience”.

  • D2G worked with the event organisers and their sponsors to create striking signage assets in the following areas:
  • Branded floating buoy signage to surround the pitch.
  • Pitch edge perimeter signage
  • Festival Lanyards and Cards
  • 4m Flag signage across the festival site
  • Superyacht Check-In Desks – Branded desks, signage and branded market umbrellas
  • Media walls

The event was a stand-out success and showed the public’s desire to engage and connect with outdoor events once more in a post-Covid world.

A Very Happy Client

OUr client and the organiser, Jimmy Galvin, had this to say,

”What can I say but THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

There are so many people to thank, and as a team, we have so much to be grateful for right now.

Over three action-packed days, our vision for Aqua Rugby Australia truly came alive.

Rugby Union has the power to touch so many people, and the community spirit we saw in Manly these past days - this is exactly what it is all about. People working together in synergy, enjoying the beautiful Sydney weather, playing sport, and having fun.

The support has been overwhelming. From Destination NSW, James Griffin MP and the Northern Beaches Council, our sponsors, including naming rights sponsor Raydel, the media & our ambassadors, including Maa Nonu, Drew Mitchell and Sera Naiqama, those who got on board one of the super yachts and the general public who filled the shoreline. Also, to our dedicated team of contractors who brought our vision to life!”
