Adding a clear showcase (i.e. a clear cube) to the top of a plinth provides a simple solution for tamper-proofing your product, or simply to keep hands off your display. For this reason the showcases are particularly popular for art galleries, jewellery stores, and smartphone retailers.
Also known as a vitrine, the showcase works best when used on top of a solid and heavy plinth base. For this reason we recommend combining a showcase with an acrylic or timber plinth base, which can be built at a height and colour to suit you. Acrylic is the most stylish of the finishes and is a perfect match for the showcase.

Clear showcases are generally made from a clear acrylic or Perspex. Acrylic is a versatile material that can easily be cleaned with soapy water.
The plinth base can also be constructed with a 16mm thick MDF board. MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard) is a dense composite timber board with a smooth finish and high strength. You can choose from a variety of other base materials depending on your individual requirements - just let us know what you need.
Standard widths are 300mm, 400mm, 500mm and 600mm square. Heights range from 100mm to 1200mm.
A typical plinth size is 400mm square and 900mm high, in which case the showcase would generally be about 300 or 400mm high.
The size of the showcase should consider the item(s) going inside it. For best results we recommend the showcase is only slightly taller than the tallest item inside.
Get a lockable showcase if you need it
The showcases can be supplied with a lockable door at a size to suit you, or the case can be screwed to the plinth base with customised security screws.
Alternatively, the top can simply slide over the plinth base if your plinth is in a low-security environment such as a home or showroom.

Standard production lead time for Showcase Plinths is 2.5 weeks. This time is calculated from when you place your order and print-ready artwork has been prepared.
