Banner StandsPlinths with Showcase
Adding a clear showcase (i.e. a clear cube) to the top of a plinth provides a simple solution for tamper-proofing your product, or simply to keep hands off your display. For this reason the showcases are particularly popular for art galleries, jewellery stores, and mobile phone retailers.
Also known as a vitrine, the showcase works best when used on top of a solid and heavy plinth base. For this reason we recommend an MDF base, which can be built at a height and colour to suit you.
Materials
Tops are made from a clear acrylic/Perspex. Acrylic can be cleaned with soapy water.
Recommended material for the base is a 16mm thick MDF board. MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard) is a dense composite timber board with a smooth finish and high strength.
Colours
The plinths are finished in white paint as standard, with custom painted colours available on request. The standard paint finish is 'low sheen' acrylic, which provides a lightly textured, cleanable surface with minimal light reflection.
Sizes
Standard widths are 350mm, 400mm, 450mm and 500mm square. Heights range from 500mm to 1400mm. Standard plinth size is 350mm square and 1000mm high. This height is made up of a 350mm cube on top of a 650mm high base.
